Selected Shorts is both a DVD label and a webshop, specialized in short film compilations. Selected Shorts is a project of the International Short Film Festival Leuven.
The label, founded in early 2005, annually releases several short film compilations. These releases usually consist of one "Best of" compilation of Flemish short films (SS#1 and 3) and one or more (international) specials (SS#2, 4 and 5).
In this webshop Selected Shorts puts a spotlight on its own releases as well as other short film compilations. The webshop gives you access to a limited selection of high quality compilations. The focus is on national DVD productions, as well as compilations linked to the International Short Film Festival Leuven.
The 13th edition of the ISFF will take place between 1 and 8 December 2007. Selected Shorts is part of the year round operations developed around ISFF. ISFF does not only release DVDs, but has recently set up an active collaboration with schools. The website also offers general short film news, a whole series of short film links and the short film database, which contains data of over 6.000 short films. Finally, ISFF is also a distributor. ISFF owns the public screening rights of most short films released under the Selected Shorts label. Managers and art directors of (Belgian) festivals, movie theaters, cultural centers, art centers, events etc. can contact us to work out the screening of one of more short films.
